MCP · FOR CODING AGENTS

Your AI just got a phone.

Connect Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI or any coding agent to CG. Start a long job, walk away, and your agent calls or texts you when it is done, or when it needs your decision.

Get your private link

On WhatsApp or by text, tell CG:

connect my AIsend me my AI link

CG sends the link in its own message. It is the key to your CG account, so keep it private.

No link yet? In Claude Code, add the set-up server and tell Claude "set up CG": it checks your mobile with a code and hands you the link.

claude mcp add --transport http --scope user cg-start https://connect.callcg.com/mcp/start

Not a coder? The Claude app does the same with two pastes: callcg.com/start.

Add it to your agent

The connector speaks MCP over HTTP. No sign-in, no API key: the link is the key.

One command, available in every project:

claude mcp add --transport http --scope user cg LINK

Or for one project only, in .mcp.json at the project root:

{"mcpServers": {"cg": {"type": "http", "url": "LINK"}}}

In ~/.cursor/mcp.json (all projects) or .cursor/mcp.json (one project):

{"mcpServers": {"cg": {"url": "LINK"}}}

In ~/.codex/config.toml (all projects) or .codex/config.toml (a trusted project):

[mcp_servers.cg]
url = "LINK"

One command (add -s user for every project):

gemini mcp add --transport http cg LINK

Or in ~/.gemini/settings.json. Use httpUrl, not url:

{"mcpServers": {"cg": {"httpUrl": "LINK"}}}

For Copilot agent mode, in .vscode/mcp.json, or run "MCP: Open User Configuration" for every workspace:

{"servers": {"cg": {"type": "http", "url": "LINK"}}}

In Windsurf's mcp_config.json (Cascade → MCP servers → view raw config):

{"mcpServers": {"cg": {"serverUrl": "LINK"}}}

Agents that only run local (stdio) MCP servers can use the mcp-remote bridge (needs Node.js):

{"mcpServers": {"cg": {"command": "npx",
  "args": ["-y", "mcp-remote", "LINK", "--transport", "http-only"]}}}

Keep --transport http-only: it makes a wrong link fail cleanly.

Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Works on the free plan (one custom connector).

ChatGPT: Settings → Apps & Connectors → Create, with Developer mode on, authentication "No authentication". Needs a paid plan.

Grok: grok.com/connectors → New Connector → Custom.

Paste the same link in each.

Tell your agent when to reach you

Add this to CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md, .cursorrules or GEMINI.md:

## Reaching me
You can reach me through the "cg" MCP tools.
- When a task that took more than a few minutes is finished, or you are
  blocked on a decision only I can make, call call_me with reason (what
  happened), say (one short spoken sentence) and link (a PR, deploy or
  report URL, if there is one). CG rings my phone and texts the link.
- For an update that needs no answer, use text_me instead of calling.
- Call at most once for the same thing. Never put passwords, keys or
  other secrets in a call or a text.

What your agent can do

Every call starts with "this is CG", so you always know it is your AI.

call_me

Rings your phone, says one sentence ("the build is green"), and texts you the reason and the link.

text_me

Sends you a text or WhatsApp message. Good for progress you don't need to answer.

set_reminder

"Remind me Friday at 9 to review the PR." CG texts you at that time.

my_messages / wait_for_messages

Reads replies you send back to CG, or waits up to 50 seconds for one, so an agent can hold for your yes.

call_someoneComes with the CG plan

CG calls someone in your contacts or a listed business for you and reports what they said.

start_errandComes with the CG plan

Finds and rings businesses ("three plumbers free tomorrow"), with your approval.
